What can we learn from a medieval philosopher who had visions of the Virgin Mary and explained how angels speak and move. Quite a bit, it turns out. Thomas Aquinas developed “a philosophical framework for the process of doubt and open scientific inquiry.”
It is interesting to see a person from the late 1200’s claim that you can conduct god’s will no matter what your religion is. It was also enjoyable to read how Aquinas tried to understand how other people believed that their passage to heaven was the correct way.
